A customer wanted to introduce DDM to their Cadence design environment using an existing Subversion methodology. As part of an consulting engagement MethodICs specfied:
- Optimal Repostory Structure
To accomodate all the various design assets in a strucuture that leant itself to branching/tagging releases.
- Custom Subversion Scripting
To perform preventative checks on the design data and to keep users informed on intergroup dependencies
- Automated Repository/Workspace creation
To reduce the workload on the CAD team as new users were added to projects
- Custom Repository Monitoring
Monitoring design progress, customer specific sign-off requirements
- Existing Library Merging
The project had already started and needed to be merged into the managed Libraries. Software tools were developed to incorporate disparate design libraries with no-clobber/sanity checks etc
